Our process
Initial Assessment
Inspect the area for personnel and vehicular access, and the extent of works required. Identify key aspects of the tank and pumping equipment.
Prepare & Plan
Carry out a risk assessment, make the work area safe for members of the public, prepare all tools and consumables required, isolate water supply.
Pump Out Water
Pump out the water using our high performance, stainless steel submersible pumps, or the tank’s integrated pump if installed.
Deep Clean
All sediment and debris is vacuumed out of the tank and all surfaces – floor, ceiling, sides, pipework etc – is thoroughly cleaned and chlorinated as needed, before being washed down and pumped out again
Refill Tank
Once we are happy that the tank is spotlessly clean we refill using the standard water supply. Where you have a split tank system we will isolate and clean each tank separately so your clients have no loss of water pressure.
Sample & Report
We take samples for legionella and E.coli as required and take them to our independent laboratory for testing. A copy of the report and certification is provided to you for your legal records.
Our technicians are fully qualified electricians and pump engineers so we are also able to inspect your tank’s hardware and rectify any issues we find. This can extend to your pumping station’s hardware too.
Working with us
We are a family owned, friendly and responsive business with a loyal base of existing clients. Our mission is to solve your problems, help you prevent more, and exceed your expectations.
Planned Maintenance
This is the Gold Standard of water tank management. We will attend site and carry out a comprehensive risk assessment and agree a schedule of works for the ongoing maintenance of your potable water systems. Once this is in place we will clean and disinfect the tanks on a planned basis, carrying out legionella and E.coli testing as necessary and certifying the results.
Having a maintenance plan in place helps you to comply with HSE requirements, keeps your facilities (and more importantly) your clients safe. It also reduces the likelihood of breakdowns and will prolong the life of the system.
Our maintenance contracts last from 2 to 5 years and offer the best value, locking in a fixed price, and allowing you to better plan your budget. Payments can be made annually via invoice, or quarterly/monthly by direct debit.
Ad-hoc Cleaning
This is a reactive service that you control. You do the risk assessments and plan the maintenance of your system, booking our services as you need them. Whilst we will remind you when your tanks are due for cleaning the onus is on you to plan the work. The cost for ad-hoc cleaning and testing is generally higher than planned maintenance, and whilst we will always do our best to attend site quickly, there may be a delay in our availability due to pre-planned work and breakdowns.
Emergency Call Out
It isn’t often you get a need for an emergency water tank clean, but there are times where your pumping station breaks down, leaving your clients without water. We can help here too. As qualified pump engineers and electricians we are able to identify and repair most problems you are likely to face. We can usually restore some form of water supply during the breakdown call, and return at a later time to complete a permanent repair.
